LWM Development Hour

Lake Washington Masters is excited to announce a new addition to our program: Development Hour!
Development Hour is an effort to open the sport and the program to newer and less experienced swimmers. Our goal is to expand swimming knowledge and proficiency for swimmers of all skill levels. This is a great opportunity for swimmers who are interested in advancing in the sport, but are intimidated about joining the Masters program. This is also an opportunity for more dedicated technique work for current Masters swimmers.
Development Hour will take place at 11:45 Monday through Friday at Redmond pool alongside our normal practice. The development group will be allotted one out of our four lanes. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday there will be two coaches on deck: one will be focused on leading the main practice group while the other will be focused on the lesson for the development group. Tuesday and Thursday there will be a pared down version of the set for the development group. We will be focusing on skills such as: how to read a workout, how interval training works, technique in all 4 strokes, starts, and turns.
This program will be limited to 8 weeks, beginning July 7 and ending August 29. If there is a high demand, we may continue Development Hour after moving back to Juanita.
